Mary E. Wilson
Mary
E. Wilson is a partner with Savell & Williams, where she has practiced law
since 1996. She primarily focuses on the defense of workers’ compensation
cases. She also defends general liability cases, litigates subrogation
matters, and represents clients in adoption matters. She has been a member
of the State Bar of Georgia since 1995 and a member of the State Bar of
California since 1989. She is also a member of the American Bar
Association, Georgia Association For Women Lawyers, Atlanta Bar
Association -Workers' Compensation section, and is on the Board of
Directors of the Atlanta Bar Association - Atlanta Dispute Resolution
Lawyers section.
Ms. Wilson is a San Francisco Bay Area native who received her Juris
Doctor from Southwestern University Law School in 1989 and her B.S. in
Business Administration from California State University Long Beach in
1981. Before moving to Georgia, Ms. Wilson supervised and adjusted
workers’ compensation claims in Southern California from 1981 through
1989. She then defended workers’ compensation cases as a lawyer with a
Southern California law firm from 1990 until 1995.
Ms. Wilson frequently speaks on workers’ compensation issues at in-house
client seminars as well as for continuing legal education seminars. She is
admitted to practice in the Georgia State courts and Court of Appeals, the
California State and Appellate Courts, the Northern and Middle Districts
of Georgia and the Central District of California., and the Eleventh and
Ninth Circuits Court of Appeals.
Ms. Wilson is also happily busy raising her young daughter and is an avid
runner when time permits.
