Laurel C. Schmitt - V-card

Laurel C. Schmitt was born in Mayfield Heights, Ohio in 1972.  She grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan and graduated from Western Michigan University, magna cum laude, with a B.A. in Political Science in 1994.

Ms. Schmitt  moved to Atlanta in 1996 to attend the Georgia State University College of Law, from which she graduated, cum laude, in 1999.  While at Georgia State, Ms. Schmitt was a member of the Intrastate and National Moot Court teams, and a coach of the GSU Intrastate Team.

Ms. Schmitt clerked at Savell & Williams in 1998, and joined the firm as an associate upon her graduation the following year.  She focuses her practice on motor vehicle liability defense, insurance coverage disputes, and workers’ compensation defense.  She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association, and is admitted to practice in the Georgia state courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the Northern District of  Georgia.
